A fantasticopportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join our team toprovide support to the Podiatry team based out of Kidderminster, Bromsgrove andTenbury.
The job role willbe primarily based out of Kidderminster Health Centre, however travel andoccasional working at other sites may be required.
We are looking for an individual who isself-driven, reliable, and who also works well within a team and communicateseffectively. Ideally this person will be a quick learner and used to using arange of IT equipment. Experience in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlookis necessary, and previous use of patient record keeping systems such asCarenotes or Rio would be beneficial.
You will be supported in this post withTrust and Service Induction, as well as with guidance and supervision from ourexisting team.
The role is for 30 hours, worked over 4 full days (hours) or 5 shorter days (6 hours). We are able to consider flexible workinghours to fit with individual needs as well as long as these meet therequirements of the Service.
Theability to work as part of a team and prioritise your own workload isessential. Previous NHS experience would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job
Atypical day will involve collecting and processing incoming and outgoing mail;responding to emails in a timely manner; answering the phone to patients,carers and colleagues; processing referrals; creating appointments for theclinical team; ordering and maintaining stock and supplies, and generaladministrative duties.
Youwill work independently under the guidance of the senior administrator and formclose links with the wider admin staff across the community podiatry teams.
Occasionaltravel to other sites will be required to participate in meetings and teamtraining events.
Your role will be toprovide administrative and secretarial support to a team of community basedPodiatrists. You will work as part of a local administration team, with supportfrom this network as well as having the opportunity to form close links with thewider staff across the other countywide Podiatry teams.
This post includes a variety of jobs from bookingappointments, answering patient calls and queries, to inputting referrals andprocessing emails as well as processing orders and completing day to day officeadministration to support the clinical team. Therefore the successful candidatemust be able to adapt to the changing needs of a busy team.

In this role, you will:
1. Undertake administrative duties specificto the role eg typing standard keyboard skills required, data inputting,filing, scanning, referral processing, adding appointments to cliniciansdiaries and arranging home visits.
2. Add new patient spells and referral onthe system in a timely manner.
3. Answer and deal with telephone enquiriesin a professional manner seeking guidance as required, recording detailsaccurately and forwarding to the relevant member of the team in a timely manner
4. Process incoming and outgoing mail
5. Order and maintain stock supplies
6. Prepare for and attend appraisalmeetings and participate in any relevant training programmes required by theTrust
