The Opportunity:
As the most senior marketer in the business you will get the opportunity to create, drive and deliver the marketing strategy which helps steer the business to deliver a further 50% growth over the next 3 years. If you’ve had eyes on the top job but are limited in your current business from taking that step this is a great chance to change that.
You will work with the leadership team to understand the business direction and will pull together a strategy for how marketing can contribute to achieving these goals. This strategy will then be yours to own, managing the marketing budget and driving through the execution whilst reporting regularly on success.
Your role will offer great variety as you'll be a solo marketer initially, so everything marketing related you can think of will stem from you. There is sensible recognition as to how much one person can do and you’ll have the disposal of multiple agencies to support delivery. Additionally there is budget already approved for additional headcount this year. Once you’re in and settled you’ll be able to identify where the resource is best allocated and lead the recruitment for this.
Due to the breadth you’ll be covering all marketing channels and have a strategy across the website, social, CRM, advertising, marketing collatoral, product brochures, events, education, thought leadership and beyond.
A confident and engaging approach is required to work with the sales team and ensure CRM usage is optimised to track and convert leads. You’ll also have a close working relationship with product and commercial functions – constantly ensuring you have a strong understanding of new innovations and how these can be taken to market effectively through campaigns.
About You:
* Experienced B2B marketing professional, ideally from within a manufacturing business.
* Ability to create and lead a marketing strategy and own marketing budget.
* Strengths in data driven marketing including channels such as CRM, digital advertising and campaign planning.
* Confident and engaging personality, able to build internal relationships with product teams to steer upcoming marketing requirements.
* Confident stakeholder manager capable of briefing agencies and freelancers to deliver projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Developing and implementing marketing plan to support business strategy.
* Own marketing budget across multiple channels online and offline.
* Directly leading and delivering CRM strategy, digital advertising and social media campaigns.
* Driving the progression of the website.
* Planning and executing trade show and event attendance and exhibiting.
* Managing all 3rd party suppliers for creative, print, PR and digital delivery.
How You'll Be Rewarded:
Depending on experience a basic salary of £36,750-£47,250 alongside an enhanced pension and 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
There is a sensible approach to flexible working with open discussion available about specific days and hours to be worked. The standard contract is for 40 hours per week, although this could be reduced to a minimum of 4 days per week if anyone is interested on a part-time basis. For reduced hours salary would be the full-time equivalent.
Where You'll Be Based:
The Head Office is based just off the M62 at J27 near Birstall. Post code LS27 7JZ. It’s easily accessible by car and free parking is available. It’s less than 30 minutes from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Bradford, Halifax, Castleford, Barnsley and surrounding areas.
Ideally you'll be office based to start with, building relationships with the sales and product development teams as well as the wider business, but after a 3 month induction period hybrid working with up to two days from home is available.
