Job Title: Development & Research Engine Test Technician
Location: Peterborough
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Shifts: 12 hour shifts 6 to 6, on a rotational basis
Additional Info:
* 85% test bed operations, 15% training/development and improvement activities.
* Applicants must be self-motivated, possess good teamwork skills, and be willing to work shifts.
What You Will Do:
* Adhere to the Organisation's health and safety policy and safe working practices in accordance with the Safety Management System.
* Follow documented standard work procedures/instructions to perform safe and defect-free installations of engines into test cells, along with the connection of test measurement and associated equipment and services that allow for high-quality data collection.
* Liaise and communicate with engineers responsible for engine test programs.
* Diagnose and fix a range of faults on both engines and test cell equipment.
* Keep the work area clean, tidy, and safe in line with 5S and total preventative maintenance (TPM).
* Support value stream improvement projects.
* Undertake training and further learning as required.

Previous experience in motor vehicle maintenance or engine testing. Ideally, an engineering or motor mechanics apprenticeship and relevant work experience, along with some form of relevant higher education.
