An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Nurse to work in an exceptional nursing home based in the Chew Magna, Bristol area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers.
This nursing home specialises in personalised nursing care for residents with dementia and other complex elderly needs within a homely environment. Respite breaks and day care are provided by the home.
To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
As a Nurse, your key duties include:
1. Act as a person in charge; standing in for the Manager where required.
2. Ensure high standards of care are provided to the residents.
3. Lead the care team during your shifts; ensuring that the team meets the residents' medical, physical, and emotional requirements.
4. Mentor and motivate colleagues to ensure effective running of the home.
5. Champion residents' safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement within the service.
6. Undertake nursing tasks such as distributing medication, dressings, catheterisations, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
7. Liaise with health and social care professionals to maintain a holistic approach to the care and well-being of the service users.
8. Promote the residents' independence, choice, and dignity by delivering the best standards of care.
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
1. Understanding of care planning processes and be fully familiar with clinical assessment tools.
2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Able to work within a team as well as independently.
4. Demonstrate initiative and be adaptive and flexible.
5. Show a can-do attitude always.
