ND Services provides first-class workshop facilities for car and commercial vehicle repair and servicing as well as industry-leading roadside breakdown and nationwide recovery services.
We provide breakdown and recovery services to a large majority of car and commercial national breakdown providers, local haulage companies, National Highways, main dealers, and general retail customers.
Role overview:
We have an exciting vacancy for a LIGHT VEHICLE RECOVERY DRIVER to carry out the recovery of broken down and accident-damaged vehicles, as well as live incidents at the roadside including RTCs. As a roadside recovery operative, you’ll be at the forefront of our operation, providing excellent recovery services to our customers and stranded motorists around the local area and M4 corridor. Applicants must have good customer service skills and be able to deal with the general public in a polite manner.
This is a busy but rewarding role, demanding a committed and reliable work ethic, alongside a desire to enjoy the challenges whilst working well individually as well as within a great team.
Shifts and Training:
The current shift available for this position is:
Monday-Friday: 08:00 – 17:00, as well as an on-call rota which includes working every other weekend.
Full in-house training will be given where we will provide you with the knowledge and tools to carry out the job competently, safely, and to a high standard.
The role’s Key Responsibilities are:
* Ensure the safe loading and recovery of vehicles stranded at the roadside.
* Attending road traffic accidents including heavily damaged vehicles and vehicles also off-road.
* Seeing to that all your equipment is kept tidy and in good working order.
* Provide reassurance to vulnerable drivers and customer support.
* Recognise and report on vehicle and equipment defects and report accordingly.
What we need from you:
* Minimum of a Category B (car) entitlement.
* CPC and Tacho Card.
* Well-presented and a high level of cleanliness.
* An eagerness and positive attitude toward learning.
* The ability to make quick decisions and think on your feet.
* Must reside no further than 20 miles from our depot.
