Under the overall direction of the Student Services Manager, the post holder will assist in the provision of an effective and professional reception service.

Key Responsibilities
* Greet enquirers and respond to in person, telephone, e-mail and written enquiries; elicit their needs and offer information, advice and guidance in line with exceptional customer service.
* Maintain security and safeguarding for the college by ensuring all visitors sign into the sky visitor system and notify appropriate staff members when visitors have arrived.
* Proactively seek and maintain a system of accurate and current information likely to be given in answer to a customer question.
* Assist with keeping the reception area an attractive and welcoming environment.
* Provide information on the range of courses available, course fees and funding. Offer information on payment options, course locations, timetables etc.
* Provide information on college Admission and Enrolment processes.
* To take trip money and log students details as appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent including English Language and Maths.
* Demonstrate experience of first-line customer service including handling enquiries face-to-face, by telephone and by email.
* Demonstrate experience of handling cash/ credit/debit card transactions.
* Demonstrate experience of maintaining an up-to-date information base to inform customer enquiries.
* Demonstrate experience of achieving performance targets and delivering to strict deadlines.
