What's the Role:
You are a detail-oriented and organized professional ready to make an impact in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the HR Services Lead – APAC, you will deliver high-quality operational Payroll and HR Services support across various projects in Australia where Bradken operates. Your role is vital in ensuring that payroll processing and administrative functions are executed accurately and in a timely manner, all while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
You are responsible for ensuring that all payroll-related duties are performed with precision and respect for confidentiality. This includes managing the processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls in Australia, as well as overseeing the time and attendance system for locations with hourly workers. Your ability to collaborate with site supervisors and managers will be essential in ensuring the accurate and timely approval of hours worked and addressing any system setup changes.
You are committed to meeting deadlines set by internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams, revenue offices, and government bodies. Your role encompasses maintaining payroll records in compliance with statutory requirements, conducting end-of-month reconciliations, and providing timely reporting to site managers and employees.
You are proactive in your approach to payroll improvement and compliance. Collaborating with the HR Services Lead – APAC, you will identify and implement enhancements in payroll processes, ensuring that all awards and pay increases are accurately reflected in the time and attendance system.
Key Technical Criteria:
* Previous payroll experience is required.
* Knowledge of ADP and Kronos or other payroll/timekeeping systems is preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask.
* Strong knowledge of Awards and Agreements.
Important: This role is a Parental Leave Cover - Fixed Term opportunity and is based in Newcastle.
