Overall Objective The Contract Sales Negotiator role will require you to negotiate sales and progress sales to completion, to Increase and develop new business. To maximise the sales and margin opportunities of the Contract Sales office in line with the agreed business objectives and to increase and develop new business, with a proactive approach The job holder will interface with the internal departments to ensure that both customer and Company requirements are met. In this role, the person will be part of a small team organising and supporting the sales activity. The role involves coordinating and supporting any sales activity across the business liaising with customers and colleagues. Job Description A Contract Sales Negotiator will be expected to perform any of the following tasks: Deliver the budgeted margin targets as a minimum. Conduct all business within the Company credit and cash guidelines. Ensure customer visits, sales calls and enquiries are carried out to a consistently high standard. Achieve agreed account opening levels as specified by the Branch Manager/Contract Sales Manager. Ensure customer records are maintained and all company procedures are adhered to. Ensure all relevant information concerning pro-activity is documented and catalogued in accordance to office procedures and standards. Ensure that your Branch Manager/Contract Sales Manager is informed on a regular basis, of the trading activity and all relevant information regarding the customer base. Adhere to all Company policies including Health & Safety regulations. Other reasonable duties as arising, as specified by the Branch Manager/Contract Sales Manager. Education/Qualifications/Experience: Must have a good level of education e.g. Diploma, City & Guilds, NVQ, and/or equivalent qualification as appropriate for the role. A background of proven successful experience in a sales and contract performance role Job Specific Skills Excellent sales and negotiation skills and ability to communicate and work at all levels. Proven planning and organisational skills delivering reports on time and ensuring all required paperwork and processes are followed. Use management reporting systems with the ability to interrogate the systems to provide information to Managers. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and able to manage own workload and pressurised environments.
