Job Summary
The Sales Account Manager Polymers (SAM) realizes an agreed sales strategy for the specific BU’s in order to achieve the business targets as agreed upon with the BU’s. The SAM also negotiates all commercial conditions with large and medium Accounts. The SAM is the knowledge carrier of certain application segments which enables him or her to signal trends & opportunities, contributes to the development of medium and long term BU Plans.

1. Drive profitable growth and share expansion within the assigned (customer) portfolio/territory.
2. Realize volume growth targets.
3. Meet the minimum agreed revenue targets.
4. Prepare budget/account plans.
5. Build up segment and/or area knowledge.
6. Propose and close contracts between large and medium accounts and SABIC.
7. Actively contribute and control financial issues like credit lines, day’s sales outstanding and bad debts.
8. Ensure capability to sell as platform for growth by a professional and centralized management of large and medium accounts in the segment/area.
9. Improve price/margin performance of sales vs. benchmarks.
10. Build and maintain customer relationships.
11. Proactively work on optimization of relations with assigned customers by setting-up new programs and projects to increase value for both partners and achieve optimum margins for SABIC’s business.
What Matters to SABIC
1. Essential: BS/BA Business/Marketing/Technical Degree - MSc preferred.
2. Desired: Six Sigma Certification, Polymers knowledge/background.
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience, at least 3 years’ experience in a techno-commercial role.
4. Technical and commercial aptitude required to identify opportunities and position SABIC materials and application solutions.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and 1 other language.
6. You are currently located in the UK to be able to meet your team members from time to time.
7. Experience in dealing with multi-national business climate and culture.
8. Proven track record of delivering results.
9. Understanding of plastics and plastic applications within the relevant industry.
