We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance & Reporting Manager (Project Controls Manager Grade) to join our busy and expanding, Glasgow based, Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Performance & Reporting community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network.
Key Responsibilities
o Driving implementation & continuous improvement in performance reporting (and interfacing project controls) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients.
o Developing performance and reporting management plans for our clients based on project requirements, maturity and best practice.
o Driving the implementation, embedding and roll-out of any identified changes to Performance and Reporting processes.
o Promoting the benefits and requirements of Performance & Reporting within the project and programme team.
o Appropriately selecting, implementing, administering, and maintaining Performance & Reporting Systems and procedures.
o Lead implementation and change controlling reporting hierarchies and approaches.
o Lead the definition of KPIs and performance measures dictionary.
o Leading teams of project controls / performance & reporting professionals to deliver effective, consistent, assured and value adding performance information to our clients across diverse and complex programmes.
o Present / provide performance recovery recommendations to relevant stakeholders and senior management to support effective decision making.
o Training and coaching clients and less experienced team members on performance and reporting management processes and practices.
o Undertaking line management activities including career development and performance management.
o Demonstrable track record in providing project controls support to the configuration and setup of project reporting information systems.
o Practical experience of implementing Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting and performance reporting and analysis.
o An understanding of how other aspects of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, Change Control) interact with reporting.
o Experience in leading small teams
o Basic familiarity of some Project Controls software (Primavera P6, Active Risk Manager, Ecosys etc)
o Experience in using data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI)
