Purpose of Role: We are looking for a highly motivated, fast learner, customer advocate who is comfortable building our services business based in Perth and serving the Australian region. You will work at the mines supervising installations and supporting customers. The Field Support Technician role will also consist of supervising, commissioning, and troubleshooting Motion Metrics’ products at client mine sites.
The successful candidate would be required to work an 8/6 roster, flying from Perth Airport.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Site installations: Ability to complete installation and commissioning of Motion Metrics Hardware on Heavy Mobile Equipment. Provide Customer support during the installation, commissioning and operation of Motion Metrics systems. Supervise and direct contractors and other external parties assisting on the installations.
2. Customer relationships: Build and maintain relationships with clients ensuring the field activities are prioritized and executed, supporting the customer when required. Provide on-site training on system software, hardware, and online platforms. Prepare periodic status reports to be shared with customers, securing the work to be done is properly informed or the Person on Site performing the activity
3. Technical analysis: Use technical knowledge to perform root cause failure analysis and look for ways to continually improve system reliability.
4. Remote support: Remotely connect to client servers at mine-sites to obtain performance data for system evaluation. Generate plans and direct project executions in the region

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
6. Prior hands-on experience installing hardware on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
7. Computer skills and experience in Networking, Office Suite, Windows & Linux OS, communication systems. Mobile Radio Network (LTE, WIFI).
8. Be able to read and analyze and troubleshoot technical problems.
9. The role will require the candidate to be in Perth and travel to mine sites regularly for installations.
