Salary: £39,513 - £42,708 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
* Lead intervention activities that ensure businesses and citizens comply with essential environmental health regulations.
* Investigate complex cases in the areas of health and safety, sports grounds safety, and environmental protection, making decisions that directly affect the wellbeing of the community.
* Advise, educate, and support businesses and the public, using your expertise to promote best practices across Nottingham.
* Collaborate with local, regional, and national partners, contributing to multi-agency initiatives that safeguard public health.
* Take charge of prosecutions and legal actions, leading compliance efforts and ensuring adherence to critical environmental health legislation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates who are:
* Qualified Environmental Health professionals with a degree or diploma in Environmental Health and a certificate of registration from the EHRB (or equivalent).
* Experienced in regulatory enforcement, with comprehensive knowledge of environmental health legislation appropriate to the role (e.g. health and safety, food safety, environmental protection).
* Effective communicators capable of engaging with the public, businesses, and stakeholders, providing guidance, conducting inspections, and leading enforcement efforts.
* Problem solvers who can analyse complex information, make decisive judgments, and resolve issues with confidence and efficiency.
* Team-oriented leaders who can spearhead projects, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the overall success of our service.
