Job Overview
TE Connectivity's supply chain support is responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintain inventory at established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers, identifying opportunities for improving the supply chain's efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for creating manufacturing and material supply plans that achieve customer expectations and internal cost objectives. The role will be fully responsible for the delivery performance of TE Braintree products, as well as inventory control, and will work in conjunction with other members of the Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Make commitments to customer orders based on robust material supply and capacity plans.
2. Be responsible for the customer on-time delivery performance.
3. Establish lead times for each operation to adhere to shipping dates and commitments according to customer orders.
4. Expedite operations that delay schedules and adjust plans to meet unforeseen conditions.
5. Manage the execution of plans.
6. Raise Manufacturing Orders.
7. Raise Purchase Requisitions to support customer demands and meet inventory targets.
8. Implement Capacity Planning.
9. Manage Inventory, including setting and monitoring parameters.
10. Provide Planning support for new Projects in the factory.
11. Support & drive a continuous improvement mindset and methodology across the organization.
12. Be an excellent communicator, pro-active and responsive to customer (internal and external) requirements.
What your background should look like:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
2. 5 GCSE's grade A-C (or equivalent).
3. Computer literate, with a good understanding of ERP & Microsoft Office software.
4. ERP knowledge is essential. EMAX ERP is desirable.
