Location: First and Second floors, Water Edge, Clarendon Dock, Clarendon Road, Belfast, BT1 3BH
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 PA DOE with 10% Bonus
Holidays: 25 days per year with UK/NI Bank Holidays
The Role:
The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for management and controls of the financial operations of the UK Telecoms Finance team businesses. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Head of Finance and the rest of the finance team to report and take responsibility for all finance related work flows and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can lead a team and drive for operational excellence and efficiency.
Experience required:
* Qualified Accountant ~ ACCA, ACA or CIMA
Key Role Responsibilities:
* Management and supervision of the day-to-day finance operations.
* Manage, mentor and motivate the UK finance team of 8 people.
* Review monthly figures prepared by team. Summarise and present to the Head of Finance on a monthly basis.
* Ensure we meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations review and KPI development. Summarise findings/actions to the Head of Finance.
* Build robust revenue assurance processes.
* Challenge COS and reconcile to revenue where possible.
* Finance business partner for UK Telecoms Finance to other departments.
* Finance oversight and challenge on CRM system data and processes.
* Streamline and improve all operations and accounting systems.
* Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
* Lead finance team input and review of budgets and reforecasts.
* Involvement in ad-hoc projects and restructuring initiatives.
* Liaise with group finance on year-end audit & tax queries, ensuring finance team delivers all required information.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Experience in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Demonstrate high attention to detail.
