The Camberley branch is located in a hybrid working environment, which includes a café, based in the centre of Camberley town centre, it has a great culture, is a fun place to work and has a dedicated team of around 40 people. The Camberley branch was formerly Project 5, which had a 16-year pedigree in delivering IT managed services to local companies, charities and education. Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to join our Camberley branch. This role is pivotal in driving business growth with aspirations to double turnover by 2030, managing the existing technical account management team and acting as sales leader for the Camberley branch. The role’s primary purpose is to lead customer account management, cross sales for the wider group products, leading bids for new business and overall responsibility for the existing customer base with low churn and high upsell.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management: Lead and manage the technical account management team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
2. Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with clients and drive sales growth.
3. Technical Liaison: Work closely with the technical services team to understand and address client needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.
4. Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
6. Market Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
7. Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans for Camberley/Cheltenham branch in alignment with group AGP sales targets.
8. MSP Sales Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in Managed IT, providing guidance on IT MSP best sales practices.
9. Sales and Commercial Acumen: Work with the group commercial director to deliver the ability to sell the group Service Catalogue, services and solutions to the Camberley/Cheltenham Branch.
10. Professional Services Utilisation: Review utilisation of professional services, devising upsell campaigns into the customer base to ensure a high level of utilisation is maintained through project sales.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience (10 years) in a senior sales leadership role in an IT MSP of £3m-£15m revenue.
2. Strong understanding of IT sales to business clients of 11-200 seats, professional services, and service desk operations.
3. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and win new managed services business.
5. Technical background with the ability to liaise effectively with technical teams.
6. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of Salesforce for business development and lead management is preferable.
