Community Nursery Nurse (Health visiting Team) - Band 4 - Brent Health Visiting teams
Are you highly motivated, flexible and a good team player? Do you want to work in an organisation rated as ‘good’ by the CQC? We are looking for staff to compliment/support the 0-19 (Health Visiting Services) in Central London Community Health Care NHS Trust (CLCH)
You will work as part of the clinical team supporting the Health Visiting Service with the 0-5 caseloads and their families as delegated by the health visitor. You will participate in the delivery of The Healthy Child Programme and be expected to work in various community settings including the homes of families.
The successful candidate will be trained in delivering the Infant to school programme us base on the MESCH way of working for children 2months and 1 year prior to start school.
The post holder will be a key member of the 0-5 team, with the responsibility for providing an efficient and high quality clinical support within the health visiting team.
You will assist in or carry out, clinical interventions as part of the Healthy Child programme, as delegated by the Health Visitor.
To advise parents on positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, Introduction of Solid Food and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training, ensuring that advice is evidence based to facilitate school readiness.
You will need to be someone who can use your initiative and be attentive to detail. You should be able to work autonomously but also be part of a team. If you are quality focused, able to promote collaborative working; to improve, inform and support the 0-5 quality initiatives, then this role is for you.

To carry out activities of the Healthy Child Programme as delegated by the Health Visitor within the team in accordance with agreed protocols, acting on own initiative as appropriate to level of knowledge.
To advise parents/carers on positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training, ensuring that advice is evidence based to facilitate school readiness.
To support families in understanding key developmental milestones, including gross and fine motor skills and communication.
To work with specific children and families, in the home, clinic setting or school/nursery according to their individual care plan as agreed with the Health Visitor
Plan, implement and evaluate health promotion activities, taking responsibility for certain topics once training received and competency assessment signed off within an agreed timeframe.
