Summary: Join the UK Telecoms Lab as a Cyber Security Engineer to contribute to keeping the organisation secure, maintaining and implementing technical controls, and ensuring system vulnerabilities are addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and act upon security alerts generated by tooling.
* Monitor the environment for potential threats, vulnerabilities, and indicators of compromise.
* Act as an escalation point for other members of the security team, providing assistance and mentoring where necessary.
* Contribute to the development of SOC procedures and documentation.
* Assist with remediation activities.
* Understand Threat Intelligence and its use.
* Produce new workflows for automation tools.
Requirements:
* Experience working with security tooling such as SIEM, IDS, and Vulnerability Management.
* Knowledge of common network protocols.
* Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Understanding of security architecture.
* Experience of securing a multi-site IT environment and hybrid/remote mobile devices and computers.
