We have a vacancy for an Operations Manager for Swindon at Stagecoach West.
We have an amazing team in Swindon who need a new Operations Manager to support them to deliver amazing service to our customers and make the most of some really exciting projects coming to improve bus services for Swindon.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for leadership, performance, development and welfare of over 160 drivers and supervisors. Working with your Assistant Operations Manager to drive improvements, build great relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure we deliver a safe, punctual, high-quality service and work closely with the Fleet Engineer to ensure the overall success of the operation. You will report directly to the Operations Director.
What we want from you:
We are looking for a current Operations Manager ready for a new challenge and change of location or an Assistant Operations Manager looking to take the new step in your career.
You will have a Transport Manager CPC or be willing to work towards it. You’ll also need to be a great communicator with a working knowledge of allocations systems, workforce planning, and relevant legislation. You’ll be developing interpersonal relationships – good engagement skills are key.
We play a vital role in our community – you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the communities we serve and how we can overcome them.
