The Royal Surrey County NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced Server Engineering and Security Manager on a Two-Year Fixed Term Contract.
The Server Engineering & Security Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of the organization's server, cloud, and datacentre infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in server management, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage systems.
The role also requires flexible working by the organisation, including early start times and late finishes as required, to maintain appropriate coverage from 8am until 5pm.

The individual will work with a team of IT professionals, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of server systems to support business operations. The key purposes of this role are to:

Qualifications
Essential
* Master level education, equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, MCP, Azure Cloud Certified) or relevant experience at operating at this level
* Further Professional management certification (e.g. Citrix Professional, VMWare VCP, Extreme Networks, Checkpoint)
Desirable
* Further specialist professional management or leadership certification
Knowledge
Essential
* In-depth experience in a role working at a senior level with Network and Telecoms systems.
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of developing requirements into system configuration and service output.
* Expert in 'off the shelf' Enterprise Applications technologies at an enterprise level.
* Proven expertise and experience in the delivery of business requirements capture and analysis developing structured technical specifications.
* Deep market knowledge of IT and Healthcare technologies and use within an acute setting.
* Substantial experience in software design, configuration, and development that involves complex computer systems.
* Expert in technology applications and the use of analytics for availability, capacity, and improvement.
* Demonstrable experience of operating in a medium to large size 'off the shelf' application and technology environment.
* Strong project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders, as well as a wide range of tasks.
Desirable
* Advanced knowledge of development and testing including system planning and risk analysis.
* ITIL Experience.
