This secondary specialist setting local to you is seeking a learning support assistant to join their team ASAP. This is your opportunity to join a specialist day provision for learners with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties between the ages of 11-19 years. In this role you will assist diverse learners, manage classroom dynamics, and create a positive school atmosphere. Your support a holistic approach, where the school aim is far broader than simply meeting academic needs. This school recognises that no 2 children are the same and they should be treated as an individual and offered a curriculum that helps them achieve and grow. You will join an established support team and work collaboratively to support teachers and the pupils.
This role is needed on a full time basis. Monday-Friday 08:15-16:00pm. This role is to start ASAP and is a term time only position.

Responsibilities:
● Supporting SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
● Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
