Your new company
Based within Lewes, this SEN school offers a nurturing and supportive environment tailored specifically for students with a range of complex needs. With small class sizes, this school emphasises individualised attention, allowing staff to focus on each student's specific learning requirements. The curriculum at this school is both flexible and creative, combining core academic subjects with therapeutic activities that support students' emotional and social development. Teachers and support staff are trained in various special education methods, which they adapt to help each student build confidence, life skills, and independence at their own pace. Classrooms are equipped to offer sensory-friendly spaces, ensuring students feel comfortable and focused.
Outdoor learning is a vital part of the school's approach, with beautiful grounds that provide plenty of space for students to connect with nature and engage in outdoor activities. The school's garden areas, woodland spaces, and interactive play zones encourage hands-on exploration and provide a calming environment for students who may find traditional classroom settings challenging. In addition to academic and therapeutic support, this school offers a wide range of vocational and life skills programs designed to help students transition smoothly into adulthood. Students receive guidance and support as they explore their interests in areas like cooking, animal care, and vocational workshops. Staff members work closely with families and local organisations to create a well-rounded support network for each student, ensuring they feel empowered and supported both inside and outside the school setting.
