We are currently recruiting a HR Officer - 18 months fixed-term based in our Reading office, and the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on international HR matters. They will support the HR department with administrative tasks and the Learning & Development at Group level.
You will have the following responsibilities:
* Create and maintain employee staff files.
* Manage employees’ entries and exists (with all relevant documentation internally and externally).
* Administer employee compensation & benefits programs (UK and other jurisdictions), including health insurance, pension plan, and other fringe benefits. This also includes the end of year preparation of benefits reports.
* Handle absence management (annual leave, sickness, maternity/parental leave, etc.) in mpleo.
* Keep abreast of changes in regulations, UK labour and employment laws and regulations, and make necessary recommendations to policies and procedures to remain compliant.
* Support the HR department with ad-hoc tasks when required.
* Assist the Group Senior HR Manager with preparation of the UK payroll submission.
* Support the HR team with the execution of the annual training plan as required.
* Provide first line support for UK employee relations queries, working closely with - and escalating complex queries to - the Group Head of HR & Talent Management.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in the UK.
* You have obtained a CIPD Level 5 certification.
* Outstanding written and verbal communications skills. You are a creative person who likes to create written and visual content.
* In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits best practices, as well as current regulations governing payroll.
* Excellent knowledge of English; French knowledge is a definitive plus.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Autonomy, flexibility, pro-activity with a can-do attitude.
* Strong ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong motivation to work in a quickly growing, dynamic and challenging environment.
* Valid work permit for UK.
