Role: Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum + overtime @ 1.5x (2x Sunday / 3x Bank Holiday)

Hours: Panama Shift Pattern (6-14, 14-22, 22-6 weekly rotations)

The package:
1. Salary between £35,000-£40,000 dependent on experience
2. Overtime available at 1.5x (2x Sunday / 3x Bank Holiday)

5. Committed to ongoing training and development - 6 month training programme working within different teams to learn the different machines on site.
6. Within this timeframe, you will work on the day shift (8:00-16:00) with the engineering manager for the first 3 months, followed by 3 months of double days (6:00-14:00/14:00-22:00) shadowing the current engineers.
7. After 6 months, you will have a review with the engineering manager to see where you are at; after this, you will be working the Panama shift pattern above.

The Duties:
1. Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on a variety of pressing and blow moulding machinery.
2. Conducting planned & preventative maintenance on an array of plant machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic controlled machinery, working with vacuums and presses.
3. Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
4. Liaise with and shadow existing engineering team during initial 6 month period to learn the machinery on site and develop skills to maintain and repair production machines.
5. Once signed off, you will be the sole engineer on shift so must be able to work alone, although assistance is always available if required.
6. Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant.
7. Follow and adhere to company Health & Safety policies.
The Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years’ worth of experience as a mechanical bias engineer within a manufacturing environment (essential)
2. Previous experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic machinery (essential)
3. In-depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery (essential)
4. Relevant mechanical/electrical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ’s/17th/18th edition) - advantageous
5. Ability to work as part of a team and alone
6. Must be eager to learn and develop skillset within mechanical engineering
