What You’ll Do at Work
During the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to join the Metering Department in the Fraserburgh/Peterhead area of Aberdeenshire. Working alongside engineers and technicians who are leaders in their field of expertise, you will learn about fiscal metering systems, analyser systems, common instrumentation equipment (Level, temperature, pressure, flow, vibration, moisture, samplers, etc.), control systems, and preventative and corrective maintenance of these systems and equipment.
There will be opportunities to attend site facilities across the UK to see first-hand how the systems are operated and maintained.
Where You’ll Work
You will primarily be based from our work site in the Fraserburgh/Peterhead area of Aberdeenshire.
Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organization. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your Training Plan
You will be enrolled in a Level 7 Engineering: Asset Lifecycle and Maintenance apprenticeship, delivered by our training partners NESCOL. You will go to college on a day release programme during work hours.
Requirements / Essential Qualifications
* National Grade 5 in English essential.
* National Grade 5 in Maths essential.
* Full Driving Licence essential.

This exciting opportunity is field-based, meaning you will collaborate with our skilled engineers while traveling to our customers' sites daily. The role may require heavy lifting and working at heights.

After This Apprenticeship
Upon completing this apprenticeship, numerous internal opportunities within the company will be available to you. Many of our previous apprentices have advanced to lead engineers, managing their own teams and projects.

What’s Next?
Suitable candidates will be contacted via email to provide their evidence of required certifications. Once we receive the evidence of certification, you will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre, where you will participate in a practical assessment, meet the team, and have an interview.
Candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can expect to begin the apprenticeship with Johnson Controls in the late summer of 2025.
