Field Service Engineer - Capital Equipment
Geography: Role is UK wide, would prefer someone based anywhere in the southern region of the UK.

Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join our client's service division. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting clients' sites for installation/upgrades/maintenance and equipment inspections.
The standard weekly working hours are 40 hours, although overtime is expected. Including overtime OTE of £50-60k is achievable.

Responsibilities / Specific Tasks:
1. A working knowledge of Shot Blast Equipment would be an advantage.
2. Capability to examine blast equipment of any manufacture and provide an accurate written assessment of the equipment condition, plus detail of spare parts and further actions required.
3. Good mechanical engineering skills.
4. Ability to use hand tools and handheld power tools.
5. Able to read engineering drawings.
6. MMA welding including hard metals (manganese).
7. MEWP licence (scissor lift, cherry picker etc).
8. FLT licence.
9. Basic knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel).
10. Flexibility to work either as an individual or as part of a team.
11. Ability and willingness to work in a demanding environment, which may involve working unsociable hours during the week and/or at weekends.
12. On occasions a willingness to work away from home and possibly overseas as required by the company.
13. Ability to communicate with both the internal service support staff and the customer to ensure the mutual needs of both business units are met.
14. The ability to efficiently plan and manage working hours in order to produce working schedules that effectively combine existing contracts with incremental work of new contracts and emergency calls as applicable.
Personal Characteristics:
1. Experience of PLC control systems is desirable but not essential.
2. Self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
Professional Experience & Background:
1. Full clean Driving Licence - A Service Van will be provided.
