Our Agricultural Advisory business believes in being local which is why we have 85 consultants and a further 35 technicians and administrators in 23 offices across Scotland, and more in Northern England, providing local knowledge and farming expertise to 9,000 farmers and crofters.
The SAC Consulting Solutions Group provides an unrivalled level of consultancy service to farmers, crofters and the wider rural sector throughout Scotland.
The role is suited to an individual who is interested in agriculture in the Ayrshire area. The ability to understand the challenges faced by agricultural businesses will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide technical and financial consultancy services to farmers and managers to other local rural business
* To promote, market and sell SAC services which will be serviced by the consultant, other local staff and specialist colleagues
* To assist with the delivery and promotion of the Farm Advisory Service
* To identify business opportunities for SAC services for non-farming clients in the rural community and to promote, provide and sell such services appropriately
* To maintain effective local liaison with staff of other organisation with rural interests, including banks, commercial companies, Local Enterprise companies, NatureScot and NFUS
* To undertake such other duties as may from time to time be required by the Group Manager, Farm Rural Business Services
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 8 or above in Agriculture or equivalent rural or science based qualification. BASIS, FACTS, and FBAAS would be desirable qualifications.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. If you are a migrant worker you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
