Are you an experienced and compassionate teaching assistant looking to make a difference?
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated teaching assistant to join a primary school in the BS31 area, working full-time in a Year 4 class to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is available for an immediate start and will run until the end of the academic year. The position is being offered through a recruitment agency, and prior experience working with children is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities for pupils with varying needs.
* Support the social, emotional, and educational development of SEN pupils.
* Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive, inclusive environment.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback as necessary.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the effective inclusion of all pupils.
* Assist with general classroom duties and supervision of pupils during breaks.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
* A passion for supporting and nurturing young learners.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
* A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to supporting children.
