Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the install/service/maintain of security systems and to provide customers with service in accordance with the Company’s published standards and to conform to all relevant British Standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Customer Service
1. Deliver excellent Customer Service at all times
2. Present a professional image through high standards of personal appearance including upkeep of work wear and Company vehicle
3. Liaise with customers to agree inspection/repair programmes
4. Communicate with Customers to ensure their security systems and service contracts arrangements are meeting their requirements
5. Ensure Customer documentation is current and in good condition
6. Train customers on the correct use of their system
7. Identify opportunities to sell extra works and system enhancements
8. Charge Customers correctly in line with the contract for work undertaken
Preventative Maintenance of Systems
1. Plan preventative maintenances in area of responsibility
2. Visit customer premises and conduct and record functional tests on their systems
3. Repair and replace system components as necessary
4. Maintain tools, calibrated test equipment and plant
5. Maintain vehicle stock of spares and consumables
Corrective Maintenance of Systems
1. Attend Customers premises in response to system failures and malfunctions
2. Participate in out of hours call out arrangements
3. Check systems to locate faults
4. Identify and rectify faults, repair and replace system components as necessary
5. Leave systems functioning to Customers satisfaction
6. Return faulty equipment
Installation of Additional Equipment
1. Plan and conduct the installation of additional equipment and user facilities as required
2. Conduct all work to prevailing Company and Industry Standards
Documentation
1. Complete Service Call Sheets, On-Site Record Card and Timesheets accurately and legibly
2. Obtain relevant customer works authorisation sheet/order if applicable
3. Submit Documentation on time
Personal Specification
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
2. Must be able to plan and work methodically to a high standard
3. Must have customer service skills
4. Must be able to drive and have a valid license
5. Must be computer literate
