We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, and motivated individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Purchasing team at the Newport site. The role of the Purchasing Assistant involves overseeing the efficient operation of the purchasing department, as well as handling telesales/customer service and general office administration duties. Main Responsibilities Dealing with suppliers via telephone and email. Accurate data entry Resolve invoice queries Raising purchase orders Building supplier relationships Assisting with telesales / customer service inquiries Assistant with general office admin duties Ad hoc duties when required Skills and Experience Purchasing & administrative experience High attention to detail Strong communication skills both verbal and written Strong numerical and analytical skills Methodical and organised, with the ability to work to deadlines Self-motivated and able to use initiative Flexible attitude and the ability to work successfully in a close team environment Good IT and Excel skills Offer is subject to a drug and alcohol test Role Full-time permanentposition 40 hours per week Monday to Thursday, 8.00am 5.00pm (45 min unpaid lunch) Friday, 8.00am 4.00pm (60 min unpaid lunch) Benefits Grocery Aid (Providing free emotional, practical and financial support) Pension Auto enrolment About us The Dalziel group serves the meat processing and retail butchery industry from strategically located distribution sites throughout the United Kingdom.
