You'll be supporting an outgoing gentleman who enjoys getting out and about, visiting his local pub, sensory centre discos, parks, and zoos. He loves socialising, celebrating Halloween and Christmas, and having lunch with his neighbour once a week. He has epilepsy, dysphasia, and reduced mobility-requiring 1:1 support at home and 2:1 support in the community. He uses a power-assisted wheelchair when out and about. What Will You Be Doing? Empowering Independence - Encourage and support him to make choices and live as independently as possible Engaging in Activities - Support him in his hobbies and help him explore new interests Daily Living Support - Assist with meal preparation, personal care, medication administration, and household tasks Encouraging a Balanced Diet - He loves food You'll support him in maintaining a healthy, balanced diet Providing Emotional Reassurance - While he experiences some behaviours of distress, they are minimal. Your positive, patient, and bubbly approach will help him feel safe and supported Full-Time Shift Patterns This role follows a two-week rolling rota, ensuring a good work-life balance: Week 1: Monday 2:00pm - 9:30pm Tuesday & Thursday 7:30am - 9:30pm (long day shifts) Week 2: Tuesday 7:30am - 3:00pm Thursday 7:30am - 9:30pm (long day shift) Saturday 3:00pm - 9:30pm Sunday 7:00am - 5:00pm ( Shift patterns may change depending on his needs. ) What Are We Looking For?
