Job Description:
The Role
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will manage own specialist caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings.
Provide specialist advice to Occupational Therapy staff and other disciplines/agencies.
The post holder is expected to develop specialist clinical skills and may lead clinical audit and undertake research.
Duties may vary depending on the care group/department/assigned area of work or level of experience.
What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
2. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
3. Post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice.
5. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality/area of practice.
6. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
7. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
8. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
9. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Working knowledge of basic information technology
Contract type
Permanent, Part Time (22.5 hours)
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Neurodevelopmental Service Children & Young People within NHS Lanarkshire Wide. The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday.
