Summary We’re looking for a creative expert who can encourage and support our local teams and projects, and help to lead the Trust’s approach to high-quality, inclusive cultural programming in the Midlands and East of England. What it's like to work here You’ll be part of the Trust’s internal consultancy: a flexible resource of specialist skills and expertise. As one of a multidisciplinary team of experts, including curators, fundraisers, building surveyors and project managers, you’ll be working with others to help make things happen. Your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week. What you'll be doing You’ll share insight into audiences, and creative ideas about how to meet their needs, with your colleagues at National Trust sites, helping them to develop appealing experiences for everyone. As a lead for accessible and inclusive programming, you'll be coordinating, evaluating and reporting on its impact. Cultural programming can include community festivals, thematic programming, lectures and talks. Working across the arts (music, dance, visual arts, poetry and more) it’s often linked to wider projects exploring people, stories, collections and conservation work. You’ll be comfortable working both strategically and practically. And you’ll develop positive relationships with colleagues across the Trust, and with external partners, as part of a cultural network of practitioners. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you’re: highly experienced in devising and creating visitor experiences dedicated to inclusive and diverse histories, programming and engagement familiar with commissioning or procuring services adept at undertaking, interpreting and responding to research, management information and evaluation, to meet audience needs a skilled communicator, who can build strong relationships within diverse teams, both internally and externally a flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions proactive and organised, with experience of managing projects and a talent for multi-tasking and getting things done, strongly focused on detail, quality, cost and time a leader for inclusion, who finds ways to create an inclusive culture.
