Job Title: Learning Support AssistantSalary: £10,013 per annum (£12 per hour)Closing Date: 2025-01-12About the RoleWhat You Will Do Provide support within the classroom and off-site visits. Help provide support for students with additional needs ie essential wheelchair user, hearing impairment, visual impairment etc. Involved in planning, preparation and assessment of learning as part of the course team. Providing in-class support to meet needs of students who have high needs. Providing curriculum teachers/assessors and Learning Support team members with verbal and written reports on students who have high needs or SEN. Assisting with emergency evacuation plans and practices, and helping with all emergency evacuations. Keeping accurate and timely records, recording progress and strategies used, as required. About You Must have/ be work towards English and Mathematics at Level 2 / GCSE grade C/ level 3 or above. Relevant experience, knowledge and understanding of working in the Sector - Personal care, supporting students who use wheelchairs. Relevant qualification in related area. Must be IT literate. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff/students at all levels in the college.
