Careerlink are currently hiring for a Shipping Coordinator in Langley, working for logistics professionals for the art, antiques and interior design market. Monday-Friday - No shift or weekend work £28k-£30k Per annum 23 Days annual leave Permanent position Responsibilities in the role: Co-ordinating all aspects of shipping high end goods, fine art and antiques, domestically and internationally Handling all aspects of a key client account Coordinating domestic and international shipments, via all methods (air, sea, road), with the main focus on air freight Arranging customer collections and deliveries, which may also include the arranging of specialist packing services Preparing and processing all documentation and the booking of the chosen method of transportation and handling paperwork including bills of lading, labelling, timesheets and detailed condition reports with photos, customs clearance and advising the customer of any required payments due Communicating with our client comprehensively, guiding them through the process of shipping Invoicing: ensuring invoices are produced on time Comprehensive record keeping, including on our freight management system Managing projects: Manage a number of project files simultaneously including the timely booking of internal and external services e.g. transport, case making, freight etc. Ensure scope of project information is correct e.g. end date, projection date and value of invoice and management of costs Co-ordinating all aspects of shipping project items from one destination to another Assessing your clients individual needs on a daily basis - liaising with overseas agents, private collectors galleries, auction houses, artists, transport companies etc) Communicating with our client, ensuring client is kept up to date at all times Quoting and coordinating both domestic and international shipments Communicating with sales and operations team throughout the day Provide administration assistance to sales team Provide assistance throughout the business as and when required.
