Job Description: The State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA) provides essential care and support to patients, primarily in long-term care facilities, hospitals, and nursing homes. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for patients. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Current State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA) certification in the state of employment. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in basic patient care tasks, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Basic knowledge of infection control practices. Ability to lift and move patients, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse. Help patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds or wheelchairs. Report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients. Assist with feeding patients who require help and ensure they receive adequate nutrition. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a positive and caring atmosphere.
