Hardware Design Engineer, Permanent, £50000 - £60000 per annum, 33 days leave, Enhanced Pension, BUPA Health care
Based in the East Midlands, our client is an internationally recognised transportation service provider. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to expand and develop their existing skills in the field of electronics system design. Your responsibilities as a Hardware Design Engineer include:
1. Design, implement, and optimise hardware design solutions.
2. Monitor and revise delivery to achieve agreed KPI's.
3. Ensure all designs meet relevant safety and industry standards.
4. Deliver cost efficient, obsolescence tolerant designs.
5. Participate in hardware/software co-design and system-level debugging.
6. Support FAT, SAT & Commissioning activity.
7. Leading smaller projects, collaborating on larger ones.
8. Follow industry best practice and company quality standards whilst looking for opportunities for improvement.
Requirements as a Hardware Design Engineer include:
9. Electronics Engineering or related degree or NVQ level 5
10. 3+ years practical and relevant experience in Hardware Electronics Design role
11. Experience with Analogue audio, Mirco controller/processor (STM32, Arm9, PIC), reverse engineering analysis techniques.
12. Desired experience in transformer design, power supply design, FPGA/CPLD, CCTV/Networking, DFMEA, Railway environment & standards
