Requirements
* Circa3 years PQE.
* The STEP or SFEqualification would be preferred but is notessential.
* Knowledge of the lawrelating to Contested Wills and Inheritance Actclaims.
* Demonstrable experience ofsuccessfully having acted for clients in contentious Probatematters.
* Ability to advise andprogress claims on behalf of a dependent under IPFDA1975.
* Experience in a variety ofdifferent areas of dispute in Probate including disputes over thevalidity of a Will capacity of the testator and disputes as to anestate administration and costs charged by the person administeringan estate.
* Preparation of responsesto a Larke v Nugusrequest.
* Demonstrate anunderstanding of the preparation of Wills (including Willsincorporating measures aimed at asset protection and mitigation oftax).
* Fundamental principles ofinheritance capital gains and income tax and their application inan estate planningcontext.
* Formation administrationand taxation of trusts; administration of estates; deeds ofvariation.
* Knowledge of thepreparation and registration of Lasting Powers ofAttorney.
* Ability and willingness tolearn and manage workload in an efficient and organised manner andmeet clients demandingrequirements.
* Able to communicatevery well in writing using correct grammar and plainEnglish.
* Enthusiastic willing andstrong team player have an excellent balance between technicalability and commercialawareness.
* Possess strongorganisational and interpersonal skills and be ITproficient.
