Overview:
CPL UK Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the operations of a children's residential home in Birmingham. This role involves leading a team to provide exceptional care for children and young people while ensuring compliance with relevant care standards and fostering a supportive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children and young people.
2. Ensure compliance with The Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and other care standards.
3. Supervise and support staff, promoting professional care and practices tailored to the needs of each young person.
4. Plan and implement care programmes in collaboration with schools, social workers, and other professionals.
5. Recruit, induct, and train staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective rotas.
6. Maintain accurate records and reports, attend reviews, and make referrals to external agencies as needed.
7. Oversee safeguarding practices, health and safety compliance, and emergency procedures.
8. Monitor staff performance, ensure regular supervision, and encourage professional development.
9. Maintain the home's equipment and facilities, ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment.
10. Act as the primary point of accountability for the home and report regularly to the Responsible Individual and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
1. Proven managerial experience in children's residential care or a similar setting.
2. Relevant qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
3. Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory standards, and health & safety requirements.
4. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
5. Flexibility to work on a rota, including weekends, sleep-ins, and being on-call.
