Senior Administrator
Band 3
Job overview
Exciting opportunities have arisen for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join the Clinical Administration Service (CAS) Hub 10 as a Senior Administrator as part of our Ophthalmology waiting list team.
We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals with previous clerical experience who can communicate at all levels, work flexibly, and are able to organise and prioritise their workload along with that of their team as these roles may involve some line management responsibility. Good communication skills are essential as you will be dealing with members of the public. We are looking for individuals with a passion to work in a healthcare setting, those with a 'can do' attitude, and importantly, due to the nature of the work, people who have a flexible approach to working.
This role is solely based at the eye hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary, although you may be asked to do your initial training at Castle Hill Hospital.
Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will join a friendly and supportive team within the Ophthalmology team that values the contribution of all staff.
The work is varied and demanding with an emphasis on accuracy, adaptability, and the ability to prioritise competing workloads. As a Senior Administrator, you will be involved in the end-to-end patient pathway providing administrative support to our clinicians.
With a specific focus on working with our inpatient waiting list teams in the management of our elective waiting lists, you must be committed to delivering a high standard of patient care and have a flexible attitude to work and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
Hours of the post are: Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 5:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid break.
