POSITION SUMMARY Performing electronic test of high voltage power supplies, and developing the product to meet project schedules and performance standards for NPI. Receives instructions on daily work and new assignments as duties may vary day to day. RESPONSIBILITIES - Possesses good knowledge of circuitry and troubleshooting that could be moderate to complex in nature. - Ability to fault find down to component level and contribute towards development improvements. - Uses specifications, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units. - Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance. - May aid with training other AE employees in established processes or function as technical interface with other departments. - Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. - Documents development notes, corrections actions and test procedure and results accurately. - Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner and works under limited supervision. - Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost reductions. - Ensures all quality processes and procedures are followed per department FP's. - Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ability to apply manufacturing processes. - Working knowledge of basic PC programs. (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.) - Thorough understanding of production/service procedures, ESD, 5S, and SAP - Certified in all required production/service training per FP209. - Not required but desirable: solid understanding of Materials/Logistics procedures, ECO process, and First Article process. QUALIFICATIONS - Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred. - Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment. - Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts. - Intermediate computer knowledge to include Excel, Word and Outlook. - Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications. - Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent). - Assists in designing, developing and implementing new test fixturing. - Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices. - HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree
