We have a new opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join our Guinness Property team. As a Repairs Surveyor you will carry out surveys and property inspections and oversee the delivery of subcontracted repairs to ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Guinness standards and timeframes.
Reporting into our Complex Repairs Manager you will carry out surveys to properties within your specified region, including Damp Mould and Condensation inspections. You will be responsible for diagnosing the cause of complex faults and failures and post inspect works supporting Guinness Property to ensure high-quality optimum works are delivered in budget, on time, safely and to a high standard whilst achieving and maintaining customer satisfaction KPIs and ensuring value for money is achieved through the delivery of effective procurement and management of repairs.
What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced and highly knowledgeable Repairs Surveyor you’ll also have great customer service skills and the ability to work autonomously to assess and improve property standards. You’ll also be able to demonstrate the below essential skills and experience:
Excellent level of knowledge of building construction standards, and legislation, and an ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defects.
Experience of undertaking assessments in line with the Housing Health & Safety Rating System.
Understanding of responsive repairs, voids work, planned and cyclical repairs requirements.
Ability to be proactive and work on own initiative, with limited supervision
Experience of managing contractors.
Excellent standards of customer care and the ability to deliver accurate and clear communications in writing, face to face or by telephone.
Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, housing, and property management systems.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a heavy workload, whilst working on a mobile basis, keeping excellent records.
Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.
Full Driving Licence
Desirable:
A good understanding of the context of social housing
Experience in working within a commercially aware environment.
Essential Qualifications
Educated to Level 4 (HNC in Surveying or Construction & Built Environment or equivalent) or higher.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Desirable:
Level 4 VRQ Certificate in Managing Damp, Mould, and Customer Care in Housing.
RICS (Building Surveying) or MCIOB membership.

Salary £44,919 per annum full time, 39 hours per week Monday to Friday.
