Lead Planner - Peterborough Due to significant growth in our water sector, the position of Lead Planner has become available to join our integrated delivery team, working on the Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Framework. In this critical role, you'll help shape the future of water infrastructure across SPA's AMP8 projects, creating and integrating project schedules to ensure seamless delivery across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. As Lead Planner, you'll report directly to the SPA Head of Programme Controls and be responsible for setting up, managing, and enhancing project schedules. You'll develop a strategic overview of the programme, identify opportunities and risks, and ensure projects align with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll also engage with cross-functional experts to streamline project performance and impact. Role Requirements Extensive experience in schedule management for large-scale civil engineering projects (water infrastructure experience preferred) Proficiency in Primavera P6, with strong critical path tracing and analytical skills Demonstrated success in leading multi-project integration and collaborating within a multidisciplinary, alliance-driven framework Deep understanding of Project Controls within Major Infrastructure Programmes, including the interrelationships between Risk, Cost, Earned Value, Reporting and Change Management A proactive, strategic mindset and excellent communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and negotiate effectively Experience of maintaining performance and contractual baselines, producing critical path analysis on fully resourced and cost loaded project plans, monitoring changes, and reporting on early warnings and variations Scheduling/Reporting experience within NEC contract framework Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams and advising senior colleagues to enable delivery of our business goals For the full job description, please contact careerscostain.com quoting the vacancy number.
