Principal Epure Security Manager Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke with frequent travel to our facility in Dijon, France. Clearance Level: You will need to obtain and maintain SDV security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. AWE is currently recruiting for a Principal Programme Security Manager for the Teutates Programme. Although this role will be based on our UK site, there will be an expectation of frequent travel to our facility in France. The Role: Development of strong supportive relationships with AWE, Defence Nuclear Organisation (DNO), UK partners, French security partners and French Government representatives responsible for programme delivery. Delivery of customer service to Teutates staff and contractors to enable them to make wise decisions regarding security of AWE/DNO information, assets, and people. Provision of assurance that AWE meets its security commitments, understands the risks, and threats that it faces, and supports the business in developing vulnerability mitigation plans and improvements. Application of learning from post incident and proactive investigations, working collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, in order to improve security culture and avoid repeat incidents. Developing strong stakeholder relationships with AWE/DNO business leaders responsible for wider mission critical elements of the business. Leading on creation and updating of Teutates related security documentation Planning and overseeing operational assurance activity to ensure the correct application of security and the maintenance of security standards across the programme. Leading the AWE Teutates operational security team, including line management responsibilities. Championing the UK security posture with French security counterparts to protect UK interests. Developing and coaching a diverse team in their security confidence. Developing metrics to measure and promote Teutates business leadership of security performance. Leading the operational team understanding, contribution to, and application of, security strategy, including site security plan, management arrangements, and regulatory compliance. Leading the security elements of the programme. Contributing to the development of security as the Subject Matter Expert for the Teutates programme, as part of the Teutates leadership team. Who are we looking for? We are seeking a security specialist with strong stakeholder management skills, who has recent security experience at a senior level and has worked in a highly regulated environment understanding the importance of governance. We do need you to have the following: You will need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a collaborative environment where you are expected to work collegiately with UK and French counterparts. You will need to gain or have a working ability to converse in French. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex security related arrangements, documentation, and framework agreements. Managing multiple stakeholders and priorities Demonstrable experience of having led and developed a high performing team in a complex environment. Excellent people skills and a proven ability to communicate at all levels. An understanding of how to deliver successfully in a regulated environment within the UK and France Delivering and embedding change programmes. Working in cross-functional teams across organisational and international boundaries Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we would like you to have experience in some of the following: Interpret, communicate, and direct the implementation of Teutates security classification policies and other relevant standards to best support the programme to be compliant with all mandated requirements. You will need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload.
