In your new role as Project Commercial Manager - Environment & Sustainability you will play a crucial role in enhancing project commercial outcomes and driving commercial best practice and learning. By leveraging your expertise in consultancy, engineering construction contracts, program, and change management, you will support and uplift project managers (PMs) in commercial matters. This includes mitigating risks, minimising lost margin, and fostering commercial best practices to boost project performance and client satisfaction. Reporting to the Assistant Commercial Director and working under the direction of the Business Unit Operations Director or commercial team, your responsibilities will span across multiple projects. Here’s what you’ll do: Collaborate: Assisting PMs, Project Directors, and Lead Verifiers in the commercial management of projects to ensure successful delivery. Provide Expertise : Applying your knowledge of contract management to enhance project performance, focusing on critical aspects like insurances, programme, delay damages, and key contract dates. Ensure Quality: Using contract administration platforms such as CEMAR and Asite to oversee and act on client communications and instructions. Ensure changes are managed rigorously with a focus on commercial implications of change, manage commercial risk and opportunity generally. Oversee: Participating in project reviews, commercial discussions with clients and suppliers, and ensuring the execution of action items. Mentor: Coaching technical staff to heighten their commercial awareness and expertise. Deliver: Working to reduce disallowed costs and efficiently manage expenditures from AECOM and its subcontractors. Contributing to Go/No-Go decisions for new projects or significant changes to existing projects.
