Job summary An exciting opportunity to be a Sister/Charge nurse at SWB NHS Trust on a busy Trauma and orthopaedics ward. We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual with a passion for nursing who has the ambition/drive to meet the Trust values service needs. To work as part of the T&O team in the coordination of all ward activities, to deputise in the absence of the Ward/Department Manage, to ensure the delivery of quality service through leadership and efficient deployment of available resources. Experience in trauma and orthopaedics is highly recommended. Main duties of the job Provide high quality patient centred care and take charge of the ward and ensure effective patient flow, showing effective leadership skills, deputising for clinical shift lead if needed. Promote effective team work within a multi-disciplinary team, acting as a mentor/assessor to motivate, support and encourage safe and effective care to student nurses, newly qualified nurses and junior staff.
