Central London Community Healthcare is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and innovative practitioner to join the School Nursing Service in Merton. The practitioner must be a Registered Nurse with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Qualification (School Nursing). Please note: The advert states that the base is at 160 Falcon Road, however the base could be one of the 3 bases in Wandsworth and will depend on service need. This will be confirmed at interview. Main duties of the job The School Nursing service comprises of a large skill mix team, which is structured to deliver core and targeted health input through the Healthy Child Programme to all school aged children and their families. The applicant should demonstrate leadership skills, knowledge of safeguarding and child protection processes and offer flexibility in managing their caseload. In addition, they should have a strong public health focus and be fully committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our diverse school aged population. In 2019 CLCH achieved sustained UNICEF level 3 status of the prestigious Baby Friendly Award in recognition of our outstanding support for breast feeding mothers and we are currently working towards the GOLD award.
