About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will provide personalised academic, emotional and behavioural support to pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis, according to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Assist in preparing and adapting resources to meet diverse learning needs. Promote engagement, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour in the classroom. Facilitate communication and social interaction for pupils with speech and language, or communication difficulties. Record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs. Encourage independence, resilience, and self-confidence in learners. Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote pupil well-being at all times. Job Requirements: Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or alternative setting is essential. Ideally, hold a recognised qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3). Sound knowledge of common SEN such as ASC, MLD, SLCN, and associated support strategies. Patience, flexibility, and a calm approach under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
