Job Title: Warehouse Operative With Driving Duties

Job Summary:
This role involves working within the Warehouse & Logistics department, supporting Head Office, clients, and field-based staff. The Warehouse and Logistics function manages the receipt, storage, and despatch of client stock. The role combines warehouse operations and logistics driving responsibilities, including the delivery of high-value goods to main city locations.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Logistics & Delivery:
1. Deliver high-value goods safely and professionally to various locations, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
2. Carry out vehicle health and safety checks before and after deliveries.
3. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
5. Adjust working hours and shifts according to delivery schedules, including early morning shifts and overnight stays when required.
6. Maintain the vehicle's appearance, ensuring it is clean and presentable.
Warehouse Operations:
1. Prioritise and process despatch requests from internal managers and clients efficiently and cost-effectively.
2. Prepare and package stock for despatch in line with agreed timelines.
3. Operate Reach and Counterbalance forklifts as required for warehouse operations.
4. Carry out all warehouse operations safely, ensuring quality and accuracy of work.
5. Assist with Goods Inwards, Storage, Inventory Control, and general housekeeping within the warehouse.
6. Create and manage delivery manifests to track and organise despatches.
7. Respond to emails promptly and professionally, providing support and updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
8. Communicate with clients professionally, maintaining a high level of customer service when handling inquiries or issues.
9. Maintain outside appearance by performing safety and upkeep duties.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or warehouse operations.
2. Experience operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts (a valid forklift licence is advantageous).
3. A working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems or similar bespoke packages.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Competency in the use of email and the internet.
6. Ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks under pressure.
8. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
9. Previous delivery experience preferred but not essential.

Essential Requirements:
