Position Overview:
Endsleigh are on the hunt for a Technical Placement Broker to support their team. We are looking for a Technical Placement Broker with proven relationship management experience with a strong insurer network of contacts and the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with external suppliers and partners.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Cheltenham office and ideally be onsite for 2 days per week on average.
Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain strong relationships with our insurer partners, identifying opportunities to maximise income, enhance our customer proposition and deliver new products.
2. Placement of large and complex commercial risks across our insurer panel, ensuring the best terms for our customers and commercial terms for Endsleigh.
3. Work with colleagues to devise specific placement strategies for new and existing business - identifying appropriate markets and designing suitable insurance programmes.
4. Provide day-to-day support for trading teams, acting as a referral point, recommending markets for individual cases, and enhancing colleagues’ broking capabilities.
5. Enforcement of placement strategy across insurer partners.
6. Ensure effective reporting and analysis of partner performance and delivery of recommendations to improve.
7. Onboard new partners - ensure Due Diligence is completed and review and negotiate TOBA.
8. Overseeing insurer audits and management of action plans.
Knowledge:
1. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the insurance market.
2. Strong commercial lines insurance knowledge gained in a broking or insurance company environment.
3. Proven experience of commercial lines insurance broking or underwriting.
4. In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and principles.
5. Experience in placement of complex risks.
6. Sound knowledge of FCA regulations.
Skills:
1. Excellent insurer trading and negotiation skills.
2. Strong analytical skills.
3. Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placements with the insurance market.
4. Highly commercially aware, ability to develop, understand and evaluate financial business cases/plans and modelling (both internally and externally).
5. Accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
1. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
2. Cert CII (desirable for this role).
