BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a prestigious national law firm on an exciting opportunity for a solicitor to join its Real Estate team. Based in Birmingham, you will work under supervision, assisting partners and other lawyers in handling a diverse range of commercial property matters. As well as collaborating with the dynamic team of partners and lawyers based in Birmingham, you will also work with other partners in the Real Estate team nationally. Flexible working options available. Hybrid working as standard. Supportive culture and excellent training provided.
Key Areas of Work:
1. Land acquisitions and disposals, including options and conditional contracts
2. Acting for landlords and tenants in granting business leases
3. General property management, including asset management licences, rent reviews, and lease renewals
4. Property finance
5. Corporate support
The firm's clients operate in sectors such as health and care, education, life sciences, and government and includes universities, NHS Trusts, government departments, developers, corporate occupiers, charities, family trusts, and private office funds.
The Person:
Our client is seeking a newly qualified solicitor up to 2 years' PQE or with equivalent experience in real estate work, ideally gained in a quality regional, national or City law firm.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
1. Qualified (or soon to be qualified) Solicitor in England & Wales with at least a training seat in real estate
2. Excellent written English and clear, logical drafting ability
3. Effective time and matter management
4. Attention to detail
5. Flexibility to work with various team members and colleagues across different offices
6. Strong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
